Hope McMath, founder of Yellow House, is creating a new series of works inspired by individuals who have shown courage and served as agents of change through the lens of radical love and compassionate action. These larger relief prints, some with the addition of letterpress, are drawn from smaller works created as part of the #100daysofhope series. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was selected as the first in this new series, because of the importance of her current role, the historic position she has played standing up for women, LGBTQ individuals, and the broader realm of universal human rights. It also serves as a talisman of sorts, with the hope that good health and quick healing will continue to mark her days on the Supreme Court and in this world. In this version, her image is backed by the words ‘truth’, ‘justice’, and ‘dissent’.
Each unique linocut and letterpress print is 18″ x 12″ on 100% cotton paper, framed in 24″ x 18″ black wood frame with white acid-free mat. Slight variations will occur as each image and letterpress background is hand printed.
