Yellow House Announces Open Call for Artists:

LOUDER THAN FEAR – An Exhibition Amplifying Truth, Resistance & Hope

Jacksonville, FL – Yellow House invites artists of all backgrounds to submit work for LOUDER THAN FEAR, an upcoming exhibition dedicated to amplifying creativity, truth, and resistance in response to the injustices and crises of our time. The exhibition will open on April 25, 2025, and run through June.

For generations, artists have served as truth-tellers, documenting struggles, critiquing power, and envisioning a better future. LOUDER THAN FEAR continues this legacy—providing space for work that speaks to human rights, environmental justice, and the movements rising up against oppression and inequality.

If your art expresses timely observation, rage, hope, or solutions, this exhibition is for you.

A HISTORY OF ART AS ACTIVISM

LOUDER THAN FEAR is part of a lineage of exhibitions at Yellow House that elevate artists as truth-tellers. Over the past seven years, we have co-curated shows with the community to foster dialogue, reflection, and action. From our very first exhibition, Small Matters, to Suffrage, from What’s Going On? to Sit In, Stand Up, we have sought to create space for artists to respond to the most pressing issues of our time.

This show continues that commitment—providing artists with a platform to critique power, highlight injustice, and imagine new possibilities.

Alongside the exhibition, Yellow House will host community engagement events including printmaking workshops, banned book readings, poster-making sessions, and ongoing mutual aid efforts.
