Description
This hand-printed letterpress work is one in a series by Hope McMath, using words to mark the shadow and the light felt in the closing weeks of the remarkable year that is 2020. Zora Neale Hurston offers up so much wisdom to inform our response to this time, but these words could have been written yesterday. 2020 has raised and re-raised many questions, sowing doubt and uncertainty. Yet, it is also a year of remarkable adaptation and possibility. For Hope, these words capture the complexity of 2020 – loss and hope, love and hate, confusion and clarity, isolation and community, retreat and revolution.
Each print is approx. 8″ x 10″ and comes in an acid-free 11″ x 14″ mat. There are only 10 original prints in this edition. Purchases of this print support the work of Yellow House.
